Our client is looking for a confident, ambitious Junior Sales Executive to join our Runcorn-based sales team. This is an outbound-focused role where you will identify prospective customers, start conversations with decision-makers and create qualified new business opportunities.

- Salary: £27,000 Basic with OTE £35,000
- Contract: Temporary to Permanent
About the Role
You will use telephone, email and LinkedIn to build relationships with prospective customers, understand their needs and secure meetings for senior sales colleagues. With structured training, coaching and ongoing support, you will develop your own pipeline and take increasing responsibility for progressing opportunities through the sales cycle.
What you’ll be doing- Research prospective organisations and build focused target lists.
- Identify and engage the right decision-makers within target businesses.
- Make regular outbound calls to introduce our services and generate interest.
- Use email and LinkedIn to make initial contact and follow up conversations.
- Build rapport, ask effective questions and clearly communicate customer benefits.
- Qualify opportunities by understanding requirements, current arrangements, timing and fit.
- Book qualified meetings for senior sales colleagues and the wider sales team.
- Keep accurate records of contacts, activity, opportunities and next steps in company systems.
- Work towards agreed activity, appointment, conversion and pipeline targets.
- Develop your knowledge of our services, customers and competitors.
What we’re looking for- A confident, professional telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills.
- The resilience to handle rejection positively and move on to the next opportunity.
- A competitive, self-motivated approach and confidence working towards targets and KPIs.
- Strong listening, questioning and written communication skills.
- Good organisation, persistence and the ability to manage multiple follow-ups.
- A genuine willingness to learn, respond to coaching and build a career in sales.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, email and LinkedIn; CRM experience is beneficial.
Experience in sales, recruitment, telesales, a call centre, estate agency, customer service or another target-driven, customer-facing environment would be an advantage. Experience speaking with customers by telephone or working towards performance targets is also beneficial.
Previous IT or IT asset disposition experience is not required. Your attitude, resilience, communication skills and willingness to learn are more important.
