Financial / Production Controller required in Runcorn – up to £47,000 per annum + Bonus!

Our client, a market leader in their industry have an exciting opportunity to join their finance team at their manufacturing site in Astmoor, Runcorn.

In this role you will work close within the Finance Team delivering full month end close for their manufacturing plant and responsible for costing products, take ownership of master data and BOMs for products, along with balance sheet reconciliations, journals, P&L review, accruals and month end reports.

Responsibilities include:

• Review and maintain GL accounts ensuring costs are allocated correctly
• Prepare journal entries for review and posting
• Inventory checks and reconciling for monthly costings
• Ensure internal controls are adhered to and monitored
• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations
• Investigate and explain differences in actual vs budget / forecast
• Provide support for AP & AR when required
• Providing assistance with external auditors as required
• Become a key stakeholder in the ERP transformation project.
• Product costing, planning and development of complex modeling using MS Excel
• Participate in key financial processes (Forecasting & Budgeting)
• Manage and ensure customer bonuses are calculated and accrued.
• Undertake any other ad hoc projects assigned by the Finance Director

We’re looking for someone with:

• Graduate with Business, Finance or Accounting
• Minimum of 3-5 years working with finance or accounts within manufacturing.
• Sales / Operational planning experience
• Working towards CIMA, ACCA, QBE or equivalent would be an advantage.
• Product costing knowledge would be an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Excel.
• Knowledge of Microsoft AX / Dynamic 365 / SAP.

The salary is £37,600 - £47,000 per annum dependant on experience.

This is a permanent position.
