Our client based in Hillington is looking for a Contracts Engineer.
This is a temporary role and will last for around 20 weeks.
The salary is £30,000 p/a.
GENERAL SUMMARY
Management of delivery of orders for Pumps and Aftermarket to Customers from Sales through design to delivery of be-spoke pumps/repairs and standard pumps , parts and Service. To be the main Customer Service Contact Post sales. Help to ensure that the business meets or exceeds its stated goals of maintaining required margin ; on time delivery and Customer Satisfaction.PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
· To provide a single project/order liaison for contact among departments, to drive, deliver, and track all orders including documentation and follow-up. Monitors spending, on time delivery and collection of details for production and external customer, to advise a favourable quality, delivery and cost result for a project / order. Documentation and follow-up discipline.
· Interact on a daily basis with peers and colleagues from all departments in order to meet company objectives and goals. Provide appropriate documentation to support Engineering, Operations, Technology, Test and Aftermarket Work with colleagues and peers to ensure that appropriate project documentation such as specifications, plans, schedules, compliance certificates, validation reports, revision, records, release notes etc are generated and kept up-to-date. Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations to ensure on-time delivery of products adhering to company PMP processes and quality guidelines. Support sustaining activities on existing programmes/products as required.
· Ensure timely dedicated response to customers ensuring that their orders are progressed and handled efficiently.
· Responsible for ensuring that a high level of customer service is maintained and improved upon,
· Ensure that Sales orders are processed and checked in line with sales quotations and that orders conform to the official quote and data sheets. (Margin maintained, Delivery timeline, Documentation, Testing, QA requirements etc). SAP input as well for parts loading.
· Interrogation and production of reports regarding customer service / on-time delivery / quality and other areas required to ensure that the business meets its expected and required level of service.
· Ensure that orders are in adherence with agreed Commercial Terms of the contract along with Export control policies and Company Policies.
· The role will be responsible for the Production of plans and reports as well as attending meetings. Listed are the major requirements. (But not restricted too)
a. Attend GMO (Global Manufacturing Org) Production meeting.
b. Handover meetings for transfer of orders from sales to GMO.
c. High level Manufacturing plans
d. Customer Engagement plans
e. Customer meetings Onsite / At Customer
f. Project/Order meetings
g. Customer weekly progress reports
h. Risk meetings/reports.
· Help introduce and maintain Lean working practices within sales and the operation / plant.
· Assist in ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environmental issues / practices at the plant are undertaken.
· Implement, maintain and improve the Company’s quality systems.
· Embrace and comply with the Company Leadership Standards and Values.
· Assist in other areas as and when required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE· HNC or higher qualification or experience in Engineering/ Rotating plant. (Similar Industry)
· Have an ability to operate Microsoft office package or similar.
· SAP experience or similar Production system.
· Polite and Professional.
· Commercial Experience in a similar role advantageous.
