Tool Maintenance Manager required in Warrington, Cheshire
Our client, the world's leading name within their industry, are looking for a Tool Maintenance Manager to work within their facility in Warrington, Cheshire.
The Tool Maintenance Manager will contribute to the growth of the business by supporting production staff, resolving tooling queries and help promote a leaner manufacturing environment.
This is a permanent position, working Days, paying £30,000+ per year, dependent on experience. In addition, there is also a generous pension scheme.
The ideal candidate will:
- The tool maintenance manager will interact with all of the operations function to ensure product quality and punctuality is achieved
- Support sales staff with enquiries and the development of new products.
- Support tool trials to develop new technologies.
- Responsible to manage the Toolroom and develop production staff and tool maintenance practices to support uninterrupted zero defect manufacturing.
- To approve the sourcing of new tools and other tooling consumables (die, punch & stripper plates) within established budgets
- Ensure resources and equipment are appropriate for a world class maintenance and repair.
- Develop Personnel and procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Assist sales in the review of customer drawings to ensure they are technically feasible and offer advice on process improvement.
- Online maintenance of tooling database to enable intercompany staff to process orders.
- Working knowledge of engineered alloys particularly metals used in high stress applications.
- Conversant in the use of general workshop machinery (Milling, Turning, Surface grinding).
- Calibration of production measuring instruments.
- Time management and organisation skills are essential.
- To be able to communicate effectively with Group tooling manager based in Denmark.
- Manager tool room holiday rota to ensure production coverage is uninterrupted.
- Experience in Auto Cad
