- Night Shift Leader required in Widnes – £24,796.20
Our client, a local specialist in their industry, have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Leader / Supervisor to lead their successful team at their warehouse in Widnes.
As a Night Shift Leader, you are responsible for organising a team of drivers and warehouse operatives to satisfy compliance and achieve delivery schedules in line with “in Time, On Time, In Full”. In addition, you will be responsible for organising the team in a way that supports the company ethos on Safety, Quality, and high work standards.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- To monitor Health & Safety compliance
- Ensure compliance with all business systems including, Tachomaster, Road sense, Issac and Warehouse Management systems
- To allocate and arrange staffing cover as deemed necessary across all activities
- Ensure that all training methods are applied and that all equipment and associated activities are “fit for Purpose”.
- Ensure drivers work within Tachograph Working Time Regulation Legislation and deal quickly and effectively with any infringements.
- Partake in route / schedule planning and Road Sense analysis.
- Maintain good working knowledge of Transport routes and opportunities.
- Maintain a good working relationship with all Operations personnel and all other supporting functions.
- Deputise for the Operations Supervisor when required.
- Maintain all aspects of customer service levels
You will be confident and self-motivated with the ability to rely on your own judgement. You will have strong organisation skills and have the ability to communicate and co-operate with others effectively. A background working in Logistics / Transport is essential, and experience working with Tachomaster,
Road Sense or equivalent is preferred.
You should also have:
- Experience of Tachograph, Telematics & vehicle Defects.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a FMCG distribution environment
- Knowledge of Distribution environment including Health & Safety, Food safety
- C1 – 7.5T Qualified. (Applicable to Transport only)
The position operates on 5 days out of 7; working 8pm until 6am
The salary is £24,796 per annum + 5% Bonus opportunity
28 days holiday per year
