- Extrusion Operator required in Haydock – Up to £25,000 – Permanent Position
Our client, a well-established and expanding company, are looking for an Extrusion Operative to work in their factory near Haydock.
Your duties will include:
- Operating extrusion machinery, specifically screw & barrel extruders
- Checking job specifications to ensure product accuracy, as well as setting up of dies and mixtures
- Quality Control on finished goods
- Monitoring & controlling stock levels of finished goods, raw materials & parts
- Assisting with the maintenance of machinery, including troubleshooting minor issues
- Maintaining a clean & safe working environment at all times
This is a permanent position.
Working Days, 9am to 5pm, with an early finish on Fridays.
The salary for this role is up to £25,000 per year, depending on experience. The company also offers 25 days holiday per year, with an additional week’s holiday per year available for good attendance.
Our client is looking for someone who:
- Has experience operating extrusion machinery, ideally screw & barrel
- Has a proactive approach to work, and relishes the opportunity to take ownership of their duties
- Capable of working on their own, and using their own initiative to manage workload
- Reasonable level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Outlook
