Job Title: Goods In Operative
Location: Thornliebank
Pay Rate: £12 per hour
Working Hours:
  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:45 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Goods In Operative to join our client’s busy engineering factory in Thornliebank. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and hands-on environment, with training provided for shot blasting if required. Valid Counterbalance Forklift License is required. 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming goods with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Operate a counterbalance forklift to transport goods safely within the factory.
  • Maintain an organised and tidy goods-in area, ensuring stock is stored correctly.
  • Perform stock checks and update inventory records as needed.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Undertake training and perform shot blasting tasks when required.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A valid counterbalance forklift licence (essential).
  • Previous experience in a goods-in or warehouse role, ideally within an engineering environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work methodically.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to tasks and responsibilities.
  • Willingness to learn and undertake training in shot blasting.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
